The repeated act of pressing soil into a mold and breaking it apart reflects the ways we force nature into cultural patterns: colonial, econimic, aestehetic.
Yet, through fragmentary rebuilding, new relations can emerge, not as domination but as a process, as layering ,as shared stories.
